Yesterday there were matters of the heart so I opened Skype and talked for an hour with a good friend in Shanghai and another hour with a good friend in New York. The relief was big. Thank God for 2008: how on earth did people manage their emotions BS (Before Skype)? Writing a letter to someone on the other side of an ocean and then waiting weeks for a reply...
Here they have a saying: "Better to have a good neighbour than a faraway friend". So maybe neighbours were better friends BS?

Last week a Belgian pig looked me in the eyes.
During that brief moment in time our lives crossed and our longitude and latitude coincided.
Together we were riding the same freeway, heading for the same direction, floating in the same time and almost breathing the same winter air.
